Pricing & fees

One simple fee. Shown up front.

Sòl’s proposed platform fee is 3% of each payout. It is deducted only when a payout is made — and you see it before you join a circle.

Platform fee

3%

of each payout, deducted when the payout is made.

No sign-up or membership fee

Creating an account, joining the waitlist and joining a circle are not charged. The proposed platform fee is the only fee Sòl plans to charge.

Disclosed before you commit

The fee and your exact payout amount are shown before you join a circle and again before each payout.

How the fee is calculated

See it with your own numbers.

Payout = weekly contribution × number of members. The platform fee is 3% of that payout, rounded to the nearest cent. You receive the payout minus the fee.

Weekly contribution
Cycle length (members = weeks)

A circle has one member per week, so a 8-week circle has 8 members, and each member receives the full pot once.

Example payout

Pot ($100 × 8 members)
$800.00
Sòl platform fee (3%)
− $24.00
You receive
$776.00

Over the full cycle you contribute $800.00 (8 × $100) and receive one payout of $776.00. The difference, $24.00, is Sòl’s proposed platform fee.

Worked example

  1. 1. A circle has 8 members, each contributing $100 a week for 8 weeks.
  2. 2. Each week’s payout is $100 × 8 = $800.00.
  3. 3. The 3% platform fee is $800.00 × 0.03 = $24.00.
  4. 4. The member receiving that week’s payout gets $800.00 − $24.00 = $776.00.

Across the whole cycle, each member contributes $800.00 and receives one payout of $776.00. Every member pays the same 3% fee, once, on their own payout.

Platform fee vs. payment processing

Two different things, kept separate.

Sòl platform fee

Sòl’s charge for organizing the circle: scheduling, verification, the random payout order, reminders and records. Proposed at 3% of each payout.

Payment processing

The cost of moving money between bank accounts, charged by the payment provider Sòl works with. This is not a Sòl fee. Sòl has not yet selected or activated a payment provider.

Your bank’s own fees. Your bank or card issuer may charge its own fees under your agreement with them — for example, if a payment is returned for insufficient funds. Sòl does not control or receive those fees.

Subject to change. This pricing is proposed and may change before launch. Any change will be published on this page before it applies to any circle.
