How Sòl works
A savings circle, explained clearly.
Sòl follows the rotating savings model families have used for generations — with fixed rules everyone can see before they commit.
Sòl is in development. We are not yet accepting real-money contributions, and no customer funds are being collected or paid out.
Step by step
From invitation to the final payout.
Example
8 members each contribute $100 a week for 8 weeks. Each week the pot is $800. The member whose week it is receives $776 after the proposed 3% platform fee of $24.

A community organizer creates a private savings circle
The organizer names the circle, chooses the weekly contribution and the cycle length, and picks a start date. Circles are private by default.
- 2
Members receive invitations and join after approval
The organizer invites people they know. Each person decides whether to accept, and the organizer approves who joins. No one is added to a circle without agreeing to it.
- 3
Each circle has a fixed size and a defined schedule
A circle has exactly one member for each week of the cycle — an 8-week circle has 8 members. Every contribution date and payout date is set before the cycle begins.
- 4
Weekly contributions of $50, $100, $200, or $500
Everyone in a circle contributes the same amount every week. The amount is chosen when the circle is created and does not change during the cycle.
- 5
Cycles of 4, 6, 8, 10 or 12 weeks
Shorter cycles reach the payout sooner; longer cycles build a larger pot. The cycle length also sets how many members the circle needs.
- 6
Each member receives one scheduled payout
Each week, one member receives the pot (that week’s contributions from every member, minus Sòl’s proposed platform fee). By the end of the cycle, every member has received exactly one payout.
- 7
The payout order is assigned at random before the cycle begins
Once the circle is full and everyone is verified, Sòl randomly assigns each member a payout week. The order is shown to every member before the first contribution.
- 8
Contributions and payouts are intended to be automated
Sòl is designed to collect weekly contributions and send payouts automatically through a licensed payment provider. This depends on payment-provider approval and availability, and is not active today.
Before a cycle begins
Everyone in. Everyone verified.
A cycle cannot start until the circle is complete. This protects every member from starting a commitment with gaps in the schedule.
Every seat filled
All required members — one for each week of the cycle — must have joined and been approved.
Every member verified
Each member must complete identity verification and be at least 18 years old.
Order drawn, then start
Only then is the payout order randomly assigned and shared with the circle, and the first contribution scheduled.

Common questions
Who can join a circle?
Adults aged 18 or older who complete identity verification and are invited to — and approved for — a circle. Eligibility details, including which locations Sòl will serve at launch, will be confirmed before launch.
Can I be in more than one circle?
At launch, each member is expected to be in one active circle at a time. This keeps commitments manageable.
What happens if someone misses a payment?
The member is notified and the payment is retried. A week’s payout is designed to be released only after that week’s contributions have cleared. The full rules will be published in our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which is being finalized before launch.
Is my money insured or guaranteed?
No. Sòl is not a bank, savings circles are not FDIC-insured, and payouts are not guaranteed. A savings circle depends on every member making their contributions.
Can I use Sòl today?
Not yet. Sòl is in development and is not accepting real-money contributions. Join the waitlist to hear when we launch.
